Vacation to Galveston Island

This year we are staying close to home for our summer vacation. I really don't want to leave the girls for too long just yet and since I'm not working anymore, we are on a budget! So we dropped off the girls at Gran and Grandpa's for a couple days and we took the two boys to Galveston. On our way, we took the scenic route through Crystal Beach area. Wayne and I grew up going there every summer and we haven't been there since Ike hit. We were curious to see the damage as well as the improvements. We were amazed to say the least! The clean-up crews must have been working overtime and the number of cabins they have already built in one year was astounding. This trip was also the first time Landen has ever rode the ferry.

We had so much fun! We also met our friends fron Austin there, Uncle Jeff, Aunt Amy, Clayton and Camryn. All 4 of the kids played so well together, and little miss Camryn hung right in there with the boys. Here are a few pics from our fun trip!
Looks like Landen really enjoyed his snowcone!

Landen's Baseball Team Party

Landen's end of season baseball party was alot of fun for all the kids. It was a swimming party on a very HOT day! The coach gave them all a little trophy for a fantastic season. The boys have grown so much in their abilities to play this sport. Knowing how far they have all come over the past two years, makes it so exciting to watch. They make double plays now, it's incredible! Landen loves to play!

With all the players and all their siblings having so much fun in the pool, I decided not to get in with the girls. It was very hot, but they were little troopers and never got fussy. It has been so great to not miss a beat with Landen playing baseball since having the girls. They have hung right in there with it all through all the games, practices, and parties and have enjoyed every minute of it. These girls love being outside, I'm just glad the don't mind the heat!
Kinley stole Daddy's heart when she decided to start giving him "pretty" eyes when he talked to her. It was sooooo sweet!

8 Months old!

Today the twins are 8 months old! Our very special Grandmotha, Aunt Christi, Katie Beth & Julian came to bring Landen back from a week long stay in Lafayette with them. It was a really fun afternoon that we all got to spend together at Gran's house and hear all about all the fun things that Christi took the kids to do in Lafayette over the past week. They spoil our kids rotten! :)

Happy Little Girls!

Ever since Kinley & Kailyn started sitting up last month, they have become even more aware of what's going on. They don't let anything get past them. Very nosey and inquisitive! We are enjoying every single day watching them grow and develop into precious happy little girls. They have loved playing with Landen and Stephen all day this summer. The boys can really get them belly laughing and excited.

Their smiles just melt momma and daddy's hearts! I guess that's what it's really all about, itsn't it! We are very proud parents!

We love swinging!

The girls absolutely love being outside, even in the 100 degree weather. So Daddy finally decided he would drill some holes in our patio, since it is over a year old now, and hang some swings for his girls. They absolutely love to swing!

Thanks Daddy!
Here is a slobbery kiss especially for you! (wide open mouth with tongue sticking out and slobber everywhere) You just gotta love 'em!

Happy 4th of July 2009

What a fantastic week we have had with our Lafayette friends. On Saturday the 4th, we all participated in the Fairfield 4th of July parade. It was a little steamy out, and they extended the length of the parade, but we persevered. Landen rode his new scooter, Katie Beth rode Landen's bike, Julian & Gracie pushed the girls in the stroller with little Griffin riding on the strollers foot rest. The twins, well they alternated napping along the way. Christi and I just walked behind. Might I add the Christi walked it in high heel flip flops.....work those calves girl!

Krewe de Lafayette!

Now that the girls are sitting up, I have to say that they have just gotten to an all new level of cuteness and I just can't resist taking pictures.

So here are some more from our fabulous week of 4th of July when our dearest friends from Lafayette came and stayed the whole week. We had such an incredible time and didn't want them to leave.
