This year we are staying close to home for our summer vacation. I really don't want to leave the girls for too long just yet and since I'm not working anymore, we are on a budget! So we dropped off the girls at Gran and Grandpa's for a couple days and we took the two boys to Galveston. On our way, we took the scenic route through Crystal Beach area. Wayne and I grew up going there every summer and we haven't been there since Ike hit. We were curious to see the damage as well as the improvements. We were amazed to say the least! The clean-up crews must have been working overtime and the number of cabins they have already built in one year was astounding. This trip was also the first time Landen has ever rode the ferry.
We had so much fun! We also met our friends fron Austin there, Uncle Jeff, Aunt Amy, Clayton and Camryn. All 4 of the kids played so well together, and little miss Camryn hung right in there with the boys. Here are a few pics from our fun trip!
