Toddler Party!

The girls were invited to their first birthday party. Their best "twin friends" Mikey & Lily turned 2!
We have playdates with them all the time and my girls loves to say their names over and over. And their Mom is amazing! She volunteers to keep all 4 of our toddlers plus one more at times. There were balloons, tons of toys, goldfish snacks, and delicious cake. My girls had so much fun!!! You gotta love a toddler party also, because it's kind of ok when you catch them eating off the floor!
Playing with balloons!

I don't know who left this plate here, but lets eat it!!

Kailyn: I didn't eat any, I promise!

What????

This is the best cake ever!! (notice the fork positions)

We waited till the end of the party to try to get a group pic, can't you tell?

Best I could get!

Thanks Mikey & Lily for a fantastic party and a great time!

First swim of the summer!

Kinley & Kailyn enjoyed their first swim of the summer next door at Eron's 5th birthday party. There was a little pool set up for the little one's while the big kids in the neighborhood had a blast with the huge blow-up slide. They don't have much fear of the water and had so much fun. I knew then I had to get a little pool.

Gran's house & playset!

Well, there is something to be said about feeling free in the country. All my kids love going to thier Gran & Grandpa's and staying for days. There is so many more experiences than living in a neighborhood setting. I wish we had a large yard they could all play and feel free, maybe next time. Anyway, our dearest friends gave us a huge playset and we watched Daddy and Grandpa and the boys put it together this weekend. Very relaxing weekend and the girls had so much fun, except Kailyn discovered an ant pile. Ouch!

Kinley wanting to go for another ride on Grandpa's mule!

Kailyn getting a snack!

Daddy, are you tired, it's not finished yet, get up!

If anyone lays on the gound, these little monkeys will climb all over you!

Field Day for Landen!

Well, Landen had his field day at Swenke Elementary which was a huge success for everyone. We started out with a picnic that they let us do inside since it was blistering hot out. Landen was so excited I came with the girls so he could show them off. His teacher says he talks about them all the time and she loves reading his stories he writes about them in his writing journal.
They loved playing on the playstructure and sliding down over and over again.

Landen in a relay race on an obstacle course.

His little classmates did fantastic!

This was the girls hot and ready to go home and take a nap!

17 months and fighting!

Well, the girls are so cute at this age and so much fun to play with, but their beautiful colors are starting to really show. They are definitely starting to get a mind of their own, fighting for toys, defending what's theirs, and figuring out ways to fight back. Kinley drops to the floor and cries face down, pulls hair, starts swinging her arms and hitting when things are taken away from her, or better words, stolen or yanked right out of her little hands. Kailyn has decided to use biting as her defense and will chase you down until you drop the toy that you just stole from her.

It definitely is a little entetaining at times and I do not run to their rescue. (unless biting is involved) I try to let them work it out on their own.

Here's a play by play of about a 5 minute span of one of our days:

Playing great and looking oh so cute right now........

still playing nicely............

Kinley stole the magnadoodle pen and Kailyn tries to grab it back with no success.........

Kailyn going for the bite on the booty and misses and just gets Kinleys shirt (caught on camera)!
Two minutes later, happy little sisters again!!! With new little toys!

So fun and entertaining!

Outside fun!

When the door opens, the girls take off running like little puppies. They love to play outside. The heat doesn't seem to bother them in the least. Their little cheeks get so red, but they never miss a beat. I always bring them a cup of crushed ice, and they are in heaven!

They love to ride in the wagon with their sunglasses. We have about 8 pair around the house and car.

Kinley trying to decide what they will get into next while Kailyn kicks back and relaxes.

And their bikes are a favorite! I know it looks like they are actually peddling, but not yet! Special thanks to our twin friends who handes these bikes down to us.

Duck Pond!

Yesterday we spent the day enjoying the duck pond in our neighborhood. We fed the ducks with the girls while the boys caught some minnows with Stephen's "home-made" minnow catcher. Then we all went and played on the playgroud for awhile.

Bluebonnets and 17 months old

It's spring and the Texas Bluebonnets are in full bloom along the countryside. We took advantage of them for our 17 month old pictures. Wow how time flies. I can't believe our babies are already a year and a half old. We have loved watching them grow into little girls. They are talking all day long now and repeating everything.

Kinley says "Bless You" after someone sneezes, sings her version of ABC's, counts to 3 on her own and so, so, so much more.
Kailyn says "thank you" when you hand her something, sings E I E I Ooooooo to the old mcdonald song, and loves to dance among many other things.

Their favorite thing is playing outside. They have mastered climbing and sliding at parks and running full speed away from you when you want them. They also know how to put clothes in the dryer, and close the door 15 times, and completely empty the dishwasher. Gotta love the help!!
Every day they do or say something new and we love to celebrate all their little accomplishments.

"Uh Ooo" has become a word with many meanings. It could mean one of them has lost a shoe, something is wrong, they dropped something, taddle telling on the other, or anything else that just isn't right. They watch out for each other for everything and take care of each other.
It's so sweet!
Weight checks:
Kinley 25.6 lbs.
Kailyn 26.3 lbs

Thanks for letting us share our latest milestone with you!

Easter 2010

We love Spring!!!!
Easter is one of my favorite holidays to celebrate. The ressurection of Jesus Christ which symbolizes the eternal life that is granted to all who believe in Him.
This is going to be the longest post yet to our blog with 30 pictures. I literally took pictures all day to try and give you a glimpse of a day with us!
The morning started out at 6am with Landen digging in to his Easter basket to see what the Bunny had left him. His favorite things were the $1 mood ring and $1 peace necklace. Imagine!
The girls got a tea set and a magnadoodle. Stephen got a bathing suit and flip flops.

Kinley & Kailyn's first official "tea party"!

Kinley loving Mommy's cappuccino!

Then off to church to celebrate Jesus' Resurrection! The flowers at the church were beautiful!

One of my favorite pictures!

That's our happy little Kinley face;-)

Then I took picture all day long at home.

The girls love playing in the backyard on their little tikes swing set and playhouse.

Having a little chat with Dada!

You should see it from this angle!

We love Bubbles too, thanks Dada!

Little dare devils also, with no fear!

Kailyn: Momma, can I please take this bow out now?

Kinley: If she get's to, I'm taking my bow out too!

Hello.........will somebody let us in? We promise to be good!

Check out these swimming floaties that the Easter bunny left us! Wonder if they'll work?

We almost forgot to take some pics today with our bunny ears on. Thanks for remembering Momma!!!!

Sissy, we have got to get these things off our heads, I'll get yours!

Got it!

I hope everyone enjoyed Easter day on our blog with us. We had so much fun!
Take care and Hoppy Easter!
